Dr. George Woods M.D.

George Woods, MD, LFAPA,  New Level Work's (formerly BetterManager) Neuroscience Consultant and Advisory Board member, has been at the forefront of neuroscience, culture, and business for 20 years. Dr. Woods has a clinical practice in the Bay Area, focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders (brain-based illnesses with psychiatric manifestations).

Dr. Woods has worked with Forefront Behavioral Healthcare to understand how telemedicine can create better outcomes for rural clients. He consulted with Defend Your Head to attempt to decrease concussions in sports. He has also worked with Vulcan Industries, Microsoft, and Walmart on psychometrically and culturally competent employment testing procedures.  He is also Senior Consultant to Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc., a major provider of behavioral health services. 

On October 1st, 2019, Dr. Woods was appointed to the Governing Board of the Stanford University Medicare Shared Services Program (MSSP) University Health Alliance Accountable Care Organization, LLC.  Dr. Woods is the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Utah Medical Center, the first neuropsychiatrist to receive this honor. He also received the Historical Prixe from the University of Milan in July 2019. He is currently President-Elect of the International Academy of Law and Mental Health, being asked to return to this position for the second time in 6 years.  From 2017 through 2019, he served as  Secretary General to the International Academy of Law and Mental Health during its amalgamation with the Institute of Ethics, Medicine, and Public Health at the Sorbonne, Paris, France. 

Dr. Woods currently teaches Mental Health and the Law at the University of California, Berkeley, Law School.
